A is for Angel Art

I love angel art so I’m celebrating the letter A with an angelic sketch. This was sketched with Prismacolor Woodless Graphite 48 and colorized in Paint Shop Pro.
It is a ten minute sketch – not intended to be perfect.
I would like to make angels the subject of my art more often, but so far, I’m still stuck on people! However, turning my art in spiritual directions is important to me. I’m finding myself focusing more on spirituality this year.
It has always been important to me – since I was a teenager, quite a few years ago – but this year I can truly feel a difference. I’m meditating more, and that’s a return to where I was before I had children.
Something about children is… that they take priority. I maintained spiritual direction but couldn’t take time off the parenting job for spiritual practice, at times. Anyhow, those days are gone. My children are adults and I’m finally free to practice my spirituality, and part of that is art itself.
I have often said that creativity is my true religion, and none other. I believe God speaks to us through our creative imaginations.
