Vegan Cookies

It is time to make cookies! Vegan cookies! Forget the eggs, we don’t need them. There are plenty of viable egg substitutes to help mold your vegan cookies. This page is filled with information on making vegan cookies.

Some of these cookie recipes call for shortening or vegan butter. I always substitute with coconut oil.

For egg substitute I usually use flax seed meal – two tablespoons flax seed meal added to 1/8 cup water, per egg.

For sugar substitute I usually go for maple syrup though that’s not as sweet as some other natural sweetener options. Lyle’s Golden Syrup is a natural cane sugar syrup used in some recipes.

Mmmm… a cookie coffee klatsch sounds like fun.

I was vegan for a little while but found it a bit hard. Now, I am just a vegetarian. Nice recipe!

    • I waver back and forth a little, but each time it gets easier to be vegan. Right now I’m vegetarian again as I just came off three months on the candida diet and am taking a culinary break.

  3. Wow! Thanks for posting these. I was looking for vegan cookie recipes, but now I don’t have to.

Think I’m going to try the banana cookies first. Which is your favorite?

    • Linda

My favorite is peanut butter cookies… but lately I’ve switched to using almond butter.

Thanks for posting these useful cookie recipe links for me!

    • One recipe at a time! They make great Christmas gifts too.

These look amazing. There is a restaurant near my house that makes vegan cookies and cupcakes, and I always wonder how they are made.

  6. I thank you for the cookie recipes. I have kids with sensory issues and sometimes some of the most common foods give them problems so anything different is worth a try.

    • I keep yanking ingredients out of my diet. After a while, I don’t miss them. With kids, however, it is hard to control diet because of things they get at their friends’ homes, or at school, if you’re not homeschooling.

Thank you for sharing these recipes. I plan to try some of these.

    • Happy cookie baking! I used to bake frequently when I was younger. I’ve slowed down a bit now.

Thanks for these great recipes. Over the past few years I have found that a vegan diet can often help with weight loss and keeping fit.

    • I didn’t lose much on the vegan diet, but I’ve lost a lot since I switched to the candida diet (still vegan for the most part, of course.)

  9. Thanks for the post. My 15 year old daughter decided to go Veggan on us out of nowhere. So I am trying to support her lifestyle choice by finding organic recipes for her. This one will go over well I believe. Thanks again.

    • I was about your daughter’s age when I decided to become a vegetarian. Back then (1960s) I’d never heard of vegans!
